Skiing Trip 2012

Or at least that's what was attempted. Thanks to an unforeseen blizzard snowing us in deep in the northern Michigan, minus the proper supplies (namely, food and cable tv), our vacation plans were altered a little bit.

Snowed in! Out of nowhere, 12 inches of fluffy stuff appeared and locked us in. My van, not great in the elements anyway, was hopeless to try the several mile journey needed to get to civilization.

So some of us made 'snow people' while others (me) was able to get some reading done, safely indoors. Where's the snow dog?

Thanks to a generator, we had electricity while we were there; otherwise, it would have gone from bad, skipped worse, and landed squarely on miserable.

  1. Great photos. Glad the snow was in Michigan & not Ohio. Bo is so adorable. We are loving our warm weather. Nat & Larry D. are heading South in a few days. Say a prayer for Nat that her interview is a success next week. She will be fine. She has enjoyed working in the nursing lab one night a week this year assisting the nursing students. I just finished talking to a Corgi breeder located 1 hour away. We don't plan on getting another dog but I was curious what the price was for a female & if we were able to come play with their pups. My dad actually asked about the price when I showed him their web page. We better just stay away as Larry will want to bring one home. I'm sure your mom couldn't imagine her life without Bo as you become so attached. Our house seems so empty without a dog. It will be awful without Nat living here in a few months. Oh my!!!! Hard to believe she only has 2 months left. I can remember when you graduated in Dec. 2008 and we made the trip to GR the day after Christmas. We had a great time. It sure was windy & cold. You look so healthy. Thanks so much for sharing the photos.
