SCI Research Update

Here's a link to an exciting new research breakthrough that was featured on the Today Show this morning. (No, I'm not a regular watcher of the Today Show. I'm a View guy, everyone knows that.) It involves rats, as most trials do at their earliest stages, who undergo a controlled spinal cord injury, and with the help of electrical stimulation and daily ambulation on a treadmill similar, albeit smaller, to the one I use, the rats have been experiencing exciting results.

Let's hope it is sooner than 2 years for the human trial. Pretty impressive. We vote for Cameron Young to be part of their study. That would be awesome if it works. Nat says her brain is mush as she doesn't know what to study first. She now has 3 tests back to back on Friday with no break. She just said my week is just getting better. This should be the worst week of her 1st semester according to what she knows @ this point. 7 tests & a 5 page paper.
She needs to hire you to write her papers. Nat actually had her friend Mackenzie proof read her paper. This lady is a 6th grade teacher who she worked with @ the local restaurant 2 years ago. Her 1 year old little boy loves Nat. He is so cute & such a good baby. He cries when Nat leaves their home. That shows Nat takes great care of him when she watches him.
The retirees were talking of the great game last evening. It is so funny how they have the answer to all topics. I actually made a ornery comment to Mr. Yauger that he had never heard. First time to see him speechless. They all loved it as we normally can't beat Mr. Yauger's comments. He simply loves life. He said today that he loved farming all his life. I hope he gets to move back to his small farm one of these days. His one daughter is living in the house & will be moving soon. He lives in town & said I need to go back where my heart is in the country. I hope his wish comes true. He still jokes with Wes about Larry D. coming to shoot them. Larry was teasing Wes this past weekend & said it will be the 2 for 1 deal. Whenever we stop to visit Wes @ their home you can see the excitement in his face when Larry D. walks in the room. They have a very special bond. Wes will tell you if he don't like you. His birthday is the day after Nat's in December. I'm ready to tease him with an ornery gift since he always picks on me.

I'm sure you are proud of your team. What will the outcome be on 11/21??
