Lightning Strikes the Vatican and Also the Jeopardy Teen Tournament

Sometimes I think God likes to pull pranks on us humans...like this lightning strike of the Vatican mere hours after the Pope resigned, the first pope to step down in over 600 years, prompting nearly that many conspiracy theories.

---

I so wish I watched this live, as it's the coolest thing to ever happen on Jeopardy. Not that kid's afro, although that's pretty cool too...Just watch:

Wagering $18,000 on a Daily Double? So baller!

And the best part is, if Nilai had gotten the Final Jeopardy question right, guessing Ike instead of incorrectly guessing FDR, he would have won, with a total of $40,400. So Leonard not only spiked the football in a way usually not seen on straight-laced old Jeopardy, but he did so without knowing whether or not he was actually guaranteed to win. The ultimate gutsy move! (Unless he did his math wrong, not impossible while on TV, and thus narrowly avoided not only losing, but a huge embarrassment on top of it.)
